The debut EP from the new Hip Hop-Soul outfit PLANETSELF. Planetself consists of Misumami (vocals), Inkswel aka Ras Krishna (production) & Mista Monk (Raps).
Planetself recently featured on Lance Ferguson of The Bamboos new album "Raw Material".
The three members have worked tirelessly in the underground music community, working with artists and labels like BBE Records, Ninja Tune, Sonar Kollektiv, Amp Fiddler, DJ Vadim, Steve Spacek, First Touch, Black Jesus Experience and Mulatu Atsatke.
The title track is Hip-Hop Soul music at its finest, a madlib-esque backdrop plants an ethereal landscape for the sultry vocal tones and introspective lyrics of Misumami, A love story centred in nature. 1200 Techniques/ House of Beige badman, N'fa Jones waxes lyrical, as guest MC on "Following The Sun".
The B Side Jam continues the story, aptly titled "LOVE", this track co-produced by deep house/broken beat don Atjazz, a mid tempo groover with a deep vocal tone.
The EP is rounded off with bonus track "Breathe The Mantra", a Jazzy Hip-Hop Soul ode to the concept of 'Inner Peace', featuring Mista Monk on raps and special guest, Chicago native Illuminati Congo.

This just so good, so good, so good ... One of the albums that you play for the first time and you keep saying to yourself how good it is with every song. It is soothing, slightly melancholic but not sad, yet joyful and playful af. I especially love the drums, so easily played, let alone the production. Perfect for slow evenings. Thank you so much, Alfa Mist! No favourite track yet. onaut
